AllDoc AI Reader (“the App”) is a free, ad-supported document reader, scanner, and PDF toolbox for personal use. “AI” in the name refers to optional features (Summarize, Ask, Translate, and Smart rename). You can use the App without those AI features.
If you use the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. We do not sell your documents. We share information only as described here, mainly with Google and other service providers that power advertising, analytics, crash reporting, optional AI processing, and Play updates.
Documents, scans, and files you open, create, edit, convert, or save are processed on your device for viewing and tools (for example PDF merge, split, compress, protect/unlock, page manage, content edit, scan/images-to-PDF, and office/text preview). We do not operate a cloud document locker, and we do not upload whole files to online office editors for preview.
Supported in-app behavior:
Legacy .doc and .ppt may appear in “Open with” on Android; the App does not fully support those older formats and may ask you to save as .docx / .pptx first.
Important: local processing is the default. If you use optional AI features (below), selected text from the current document is sent to an online AI processing provider. Documents do not always stay only on your device when you choose those AI actions.
Scan and Images to PDF may use the camera and/or photos or images you choose through the system picker. The App requests camera permission for capture. On some Android versions it may also request photo/media access so you can import pages. These permissions are used to support features you start — not to browse or upload your gallery in the background.
You can deny permissions in system settings. Camera scan or gallery import may not work until the needed access is allowed. Selected scan/import images stay on the device unless you share or save them yourself, or unless you later send related text through optional AI.
On Android 11+, the Files tab can optionally use the system “All files access” permission so the App can list supported document types (such as PDF and Office files) across shared storage. This is optional. You can decline or revoke it and still open files with the system file picker or by granting specific folders. Granting All files access does not upload those files to our servers. We do not read SMS, contacts, or precise GPS, and we do not require an AllDoc account.
AI is optional. If you tap Summarize, Ask, Translate, or Smart rename, relevant text extracted from the current document (up to an in-app size limit) is sent over the internet to an AI processing service provided by Google so a response can be generated. That text is processed under the provider’s terms. Do not run AI on documents you do not want processed that way.
AI output can be incomplete or wrong and is not professional advice. If you never use those actions, document text is not sent for AI. Optional rewarded ads may be offered for extra AI credits; watching a rewarded ad is your choice.
The App shows ads (including banners, native ads, occasional full-screen ads, and optional rewarded ads) through an advertising service provided by Google. Google and its partners may collect advertising identifiers, IP address, device and app data, and approximate location derived from IP, and may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where allowed by law. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, Google’s EU user-consent rules may apply; ads still depend on Google’s advertising service and your device/account settings. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
The App uses analytics and crash-reporting services (provided by Google) and related diagnostics so we can understand feature usage, improve stability, and investigate crashes. These services may receive device identifiers, IP address, app version, coarse usage events (such as screens or features opened), crash logs, and performance signals. They do not receive your document contents for this purpose.
Play-installed builds may use Google Play in-app updates. The App may also fetch remote configuration (for example minimum supported version / update messaging). That configuration traffic does not upload your documents.
If you contact support from the App, your email client may include a Support ID plus non-sensitive device/app details (such as app version and Android version) that you can edit before sending. That report is only sent if you choose to send the email.
We do not sell your personal information or your documents. We share information with third-party service providers only as needed to operate the App:
These providers process data under their own policies. When you share a file using the system share sheet, the destination app you choose receives what you share.
The App does not set its own website cookies for App use. Advertising and related services may use cookies or similar identifiers on the device.
On-device files remain until you delete them or clear app data / uninstall. Uninstalling removes app-private storage. Advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, and AI providers retain data under their own policies. To request deletion of information we control, email ezintelligence1999@gmail.com.
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect information. No internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure.
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). It is not designed for the Google Play Families program. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy by posting the revised version here. The effective date above will change when we do.
